New perspectives in music, art and culture
Music, art and societal dialogue intersect at Pop-Kultur, a festival that highlights interactive and unconventional approaches. The event promises an exciting array of live performances, thought-provoking discussions and artistic experimentation at the historic Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg. But what makes Pop-Kultur really unique is its commitment to reflecting and challenging societal perspectives, particularly through underrepresented voices in the global art scene.

Pop-Kultur at a glance
For three days, the festival presents live performances by emerging talents in Berlin alongside international artists from regions often overlooked by the European cultural sphere. The programme includes talks, readings and films that encourage visitors to explore the evolving relationship between pop culture and society.
One of the hallmarks of Pop-Kultur is its Commissioned Works, which provide a platform for artists to create original pieces that debut at the festival. These performances challenge conventional ideas, provoking thought and often pushing boundaries. Visitors can experience new music, explore innovative art installations and engage in powerful conversations about the state of our world.

Discover Pop-Kultur
Pop-Kultur emerged in 2015 to provide a space where artists and audiences could explore themes of identity, diversity and social justice. Its inclusive ethos makes it a haven for underrepresented voices, from post-migrant identities to queer perspectives, encouraging dialogue that transcends borders and expectations. The festival is based on a social process that involves artists, attendees and organisers alike. Through collective approaches, intersectional discourses and inclusive projects, the festival opens a space for shared experiences and the exchange of ideas. By addressing issues like gender justice, accessibility and integration, Pop-Kultur challenges societal norms and offers a glimpse into a future where art and culture are not just reflections of society but active agents of change.
