In the Buschkrug Park in Neukölln-Britz, the holiday month of August is all about international music. On three Friday afternoons, audiences can enjoy a varied concert programme featuring musical genres ranging from reggae, blues, rap, world music and ska to Balkan beats, Turkish folk and traditional music from West Africa. What makes this programme special is the exciting combination of traditional music styles with contemporary electro and street sounds, which promises a unique and unforgettable listening experience.
The programme is complemented by a drumming course and a rap performance, which emerged from a workshop with young refugees and the Feuerwache youth club.
