About the foundation
The Evangelisches Johannesstift was founded in 1858 by Johann Hinrich Wichern and has been located on the edge of Spandauer Forst since 1910. It is one of the largest and most traditional diaconal institutions in Berlin.
After the church service for the first Advent at 10.30 a.m., the Christmas market traditionally begins at 12 noon, with various exhibitors offering great gift ideas.

How to get there
The Evangelischer Johannesstift is located on the edge of the Spandauer Forst in the north of the district of Spandau. Access by car is only possible via Schönwalder Allee. As there are only a few parking spaces available in the central car park, we recommend using public transport.
