Matrix

Berlin day and night on Warschauer Straße

365 days a year, 7 days a week: that’s the Matrix Berlin. Since the 1990s, it has been regarded as the city’s most famous large-scale club. With five floors, there’s something for every musical taste – and afterwards, you can enjoy the Berlin sunrise on a picturesque walk home across the Oberbaum Bridge.

Berlin’s party scene across five floors

Beneath the elevated railway tracks on Warschauer Straße, Matrix awaits you – arguably Berlin’s most famous large-scale club. With its numerous bars, VIP lounges and five floors, the club can accommodate up to 2,500 guests – and its doors are open seven days a week. Musically, you can expect a mix of chart hits, house, R&B, hip-hop and electro, played by Berlin’s resident DJs and international guests.

Music history beneath the elevated railway

The Matrix found its home in the vaults beneath Warschauer Straße in the 1990s. Back then, international stars such as Marusha, WestBam and Underground Resistance performed here, shaping Berlin’s music history from the Matrix dancefloors. Thanks to its location in the heart of the trendy Friedrichshain district, the club remains one of the city’s best-known party spots to this day. The Matrix gained nationwide fame at the latest when it became a filming location for the RTL II series Berlin – Tag & Nacht .
