Marzahn Post Mill

As long as the sails keep turning…

This fully functional post mill is historic, lively and very typical of Marzahn.

The highlight in Alt-Marzahn is the Bock windmill: it stands proudly on a small hill and stretches its wings into the sky. A reminder of times gone by? Far from it: the Marzahn trestle windmill is fully functional and even has a modern wind power measuring station. Try a few grains of rye, which are used to make the tasty "Marzahn mill crust".

And explore the wooden interior of the mill: it's amazing to see the impressive wheels, spindles, hoppers and the finest technology!

The mill not only grinds, but also mills.

Surprising and typical of Marzahn: the Bockwindmühle has become a popular branch of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf registry office.
