Klein-Venedig

Reeds, waterfowl and picturesque riverbank landscapes

Start your romantic canoe trip at Stößensee, where the “Bootsladen” has canoes and kayaks for hire. Armed with your paddles and some good advice it’s time to go – through a beautiful nature reserve with dense reed beds, extensive meadows and picturesque houses. Many waterfowl live here and in the spring and summer paddle quite contentedly alongside the canoeists. First you head north along the main ditch called the Hauptgraben and then through the sleepy canals of Klein-Venedig to the Havel canal. From here you can head north to Tegeler See or south along the Havel to Wannsee. If you’d rather explore Klein-Venedig, turn into Spandau’s Südhafen and paddle from there into the Kleiner Jürgengraben, which takes you to the Hauptgraben and back to Stößensee.
