Jugendgästehaus St.-Michaels-Heim
Bismarckallee 23, 14193 Berlin - CHARLOTTENBURG-WILMERSDORF
The St. Michael's Home in Berlin-Grunewald is a house rich in tradition with many tasks. Originally built as a private villa for the Mendelssohn banking family, it has been used as a guest house since the 1960s. It is located on Bismarckallee in the quiet villa district of Grunewald near Lake Hertha, in a magnificent park. In just a few minutes, you can be in the middle of Kurfürstendamm on foot or by bus, and from there it is not far to Berlin's attractions such as the Memorial Church, the shopping mile at Tauentzien, the government district, Potsdamer Platz or the Brandenburg Gate. With its architecturally interesting and functionally equipped multi-bed and single rooms (140 beds in total), the youth hostel is ideal for groups, but individual guests are of course also welcome. Showers and toilets are located in communal facilities on each corridor. The St.-Michaels-Heim also has a hotel (3 stars), a church, a restaurant (for breakfast and lunch) and various rooms for conferences and celebrations. The adjoining beer garden at the Herthasee (extra catering) offers something for every taste.
