On all four Sundays in Advent, the garden is transformed into a cosy meeting place for anyone who’d rather dance to good music, chat by the fire barrel and enjoy hot drinks than stroll through traditional Christmas market stalls.
Berlin club culture meets winter
At the ://GLÜHWEINGARTEN, the Advent season is celebrated in true Berlin style: laid-back and with plenty of great music. You can dance in the heated marquee, whilst outside a fire barrel provides cosy warmth. Hot drinks await at the mulled wine hut, creating a cosy atmosphere even on cold December afternoons. Each of the four Sundays in Advent is organised by a different crew , each bringing their own musical flair and special treats. So it’s well worth popping by several times.
From the mulled wine hut straight into the sauna
A special treat awaits you this winter right next door: the Calma Sauna Garden is also making a guest appearance on the site. Via a rear entrance, visitors can move straight from the mulled wine garden to the sauna project, combining winter conviviality with soothing warmth. Whether you start with mulled wine and music or a visit to the sauna to kick off a relaxing Advent Sunday – the combination makes this winter market an extraordinary experience. Or, as the organising team themselves put it: “Hot cups, no ‘Last Christmas’, reindeer must stay outside”.

The market is located near Ostkreuz, where you can enjoy a stroll along the River Spree and across the Elsenbrücke. Explore the neighbouring districts of Friedrichshain and Treptow with their charming cafés and bars. We also recommend a detour to Treptower Park or Rummelsburger Bucht.
