What happens when gaps in memory, fears and denial shape the present? In their joint novel *Zeitlang*, Donata Rigg and Claudia Klischat explore family entanglements, political uncertainty and the lingering impact of the past.

At the centre of the story is Benedikt, an aspiring journalist who, through a series of twists and turns, becomes a communications adviser to a populist politician, thereby plunging not only himself but also his relationships into crisis.

On the evening of the event, the two authors will discuss the novel’s creation, collaborative writing and the literary engagement with the world depicted in the text, using selected passages from the book.
