The exhibition focuses on the power of repetition and concentration. Kakedo’s calm, recurring dot patterns invite viewers to focus their attention and fully immerse themselves in the present moment. Concepts such as singleness of focus and unity form an important conceptual framework.
In an age when our attention is constantly claimed by digital stimuli and distractions, MAHAMAYAMA understands attention not as something to be used up and exhausted, but as a cultural practice that can be consciously cultivated. The “Dot Series” thus becomes a starting point for exploring presence, inner peace, and clarity.
The design of the exhibition space also supports this concept: a ceremonial gong welcomes visitors upon entry, while lotus-like points of light underscore the room’s special, almost meditative atmosphere. Every evening from 5 to 9 p.m., the MAHAMAYAMA team welcomes guests and creates a space for slowing down, contemplation, and mindful awareness.
