The band Working Men's Club is coming to Berlin!
Often they are called a post-punk band, but that falls way short: the song "Valleys" for example makes you think of the band "Neu!" in the beginning and then gets a cool goth shine. "White Rooms and People" initially has that outsized New Wave yearning, then tips briefly into the noughties indie school, flashes the brash intelligence of Pulp, and then turns to New Wave once again in the chorus. "Cook a Coffee," on the other hand, is noisy, stoic, snotty, punky and has more of an Idles vibe.
Their concert at Privatclub will show that the songs are not only convincing on record.
