Basics of Watercolor Painting

This workshop is designed to be a calm and inviting space where you can unwind, paint, and rediscover the joy of creating with your hands—while also building a solid foundation in the basics of watercolor painting.

Through guided exercises and individual instruction, you’ll learn all the essentials: from working with water and pigments to applying the right brush pressure, layering colors, and mixing shades.

The individual sessions are designed to help you switch off mentally, get into the rhythm of painting, and find a relaxed creative flow—without any pressure to be perfect.

This is not a course that is merely about “exactly imitating what the instructor demonstrates.” Rather, the goal is to help you gain more confidence and mastery in working with the watercolor medium, to sharpen your eye for colors and your powers of observation, and to create images that feel deeply personal and authentic to you.

The atmosphere is intentionally relaxed and open. You can either participate regularly throughout the entire workshop period or simply drop by whenever you need a creative evening to recharge, refocus, and paint together with others.
