Thursday 5 November, 8.00 pm: Moving Conversations

Performance & discussion

The first evening features a double bill: Maria F. Scaroni and Stephanie Maher will perform the duet *After Symmetry_Swallow the Sun*, a deeply somatic duet exploring intercorporeality. This will be followed by a discussion on drag and trans communities, as well as kinship relations from a materialist perspective, with Olympia Bukkakis and Juliana Gleeson.

Friday, 6 November, 11.00–17.00: Somatic Drag Workshop, Day 1

In this two-day workshop, participants will learn elements of Olympia’s and Maria’s somatic drag practice, including lip-syncing, collective scores and improvisation techniques. The workshop concludes with participation in the research showing *unchristened* on 7 November.

Queen of Heaven and Earth, Empress of Despair, Architect of Your Eternal Suffering, Olympia Bukkakis, presents an educational drag show together with her new drag babies – the HZT graduates of the ‘Applied Drag Science’ seminar.

Research Showing

A continuation of Maria and Olympia’s artistic research in the form of a 40-minute performance with the participants of the Somatic Drag Workshop. As part of this research, they explore aspects of the divine from a queer and feminist perspective. Drawing on the work of Lili Boulanger, Verdi, Spinoza and Michela Murgia, and in collaboration with the workshop participants, Olympia and Maria present a hallucinogenic meditation on the threshold of profane revelation.
