What happens when the familiar is suddenly no longer a given?
Umbruch / Turning Point brings together voices from different countries – voices that speak of threat, uncertainty and injustice.
Personal experiences intertwine with collective memories: faces become images of identity and loss; the past emerges and vanishes again; sounds overlap and transform; words lose their breath. Between war and memory, sound and image, proximity and distance, a space emerges for that which is difficult to put into words – and for the question of what happens when our world changes.
