BerlinWoMan

Triathlon is Berlin – and Berlin is sport, as impressively demonstrated every two years at BerlinWoMan.

The legendary swim start at Strandbad Wannsee with the steps leading down to the transition area has long been a fixture in the capital's triathlon tradition for many athletes.

The bike course features the ‘Willi’ – the climb towards the Grunewald Tower with a gradient of up to 5.5% – a classic that is familiar to every Berlin racing bike fan.

The backdrop for the middle distance could hardly be more impressive: the bell tower, Olympic Park and Olympic Stadium not only remind us of great sporting moments, but also send a signal in the direction of a possible Olympic bid.

The running course leads through the green Grunewald forest – with an emotional finish right in front of the Wannsee lido. A moment that brings a big smile to the faces of around 1,600 finishers at every event.

The great thing about the next event is that both the sprint and middle distances are possible as relays!
