How does the significance of a place change over the course of history? The guided tour “Transforming Dark Places” at the Havelhöhe Community Hospital explores this question.

During a tour of the grounds, participants will learn more about the eventful past of today’s hospital.

The focus is on its evolution from the former Nazi Air War Academy into a center for medical care and anthroposophical healing. Both architectural traces and historical backgrounds will be examined and placed within their social context.

The tour offers an opportunity to explore questions of remembrance culture, repurposing, and the transformation of historically burdened sites.
