The Tiger Lillies: Lessons in Nihilism
The Tiger Lillies are among the world’s leading avant-garde bands; their shows are dark, highly peculiar, and diverse in design, characterized by profound black humor and overwhelming beauty.
Their interpretation of Brecht’s *The Threepenny Opera* is unique, as are their theater and music shows such as *The Tiger Lillies Circus*, *The Freakshow*, and the West End hit *Shockheaded Peter* (*Struwwelpeter*).
Their music is a blend of pre-war Berlin cabaret, anarchic opera, and street music, with the poetry of Bert Brecht and Jacques Brel echoing in the background.
