The Strokes, American rock icons, will also be performing at Berlin’s Uber Arena in October as part of their announced “Reality Awaits Tour”.

With a veritable repertoire of hits, including beloved anthems like “The Adults Are Talking,” “Reptilia,” “Last Nite,” “Someday,” and “You Only Live Once,” as well as their high-energy live shows, The Strokes have become one of the most iconic rock bands of their era since the early 2000s.

Driven by Julian Casablancas’s unmistakable voice, the band’s songs transform into electrifying live experiences at their concerts, featuring distinctive guitar riffs, driving basslines, and powerful drum patterns—all amplified by the audience singing along.

Immediately following their performance at Coachella 2026, The Strokes are set to headline Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026, which the band will combine with a global tour through North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe to promote their upcoming album, “Reality Awaits.”

As part of the “Reality Awaits” Tour, The Strokes will play at legendary venues such as Red Rocks Theatre, London’s O2, and the RBC Amphitheater in Toronto, and will also perform in Düsseldorf and Berlin in October.

British post-punk band Fat White Family will serve as special guests, and Australian singer-songwriter Alex Cameron will open the shows.

Shortly after The Strokes formed in New York City in 1998 and played their first shows in the area, major labels took notice of the band’s sound and intense live performances, sparking a signing battle that RCA Records ultimately won.

With infectious hooks and their post-punk-influenced rock sound, The Strokes captivated their audience in 2001 with their debut EP “The Modern Age” and their debut album “Is This It,” which sealed their international breakthrough.

Open to new influences, they continually evolved their sound, produced new hits, and received numerous awards and international recognition as a result.

On June 26, the new album “Reality Awaits” will be released as The Strokes’ seventh studio album via Cult Records/RCA Records.

It was announced in early April with the single “Going Shopping”—the first release since the 2020 album “The New Abnormal.” That album won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2021 and took the band on a worldwide tour.

“Going Shopping” showcases The Strokes’ uniquely dreamy sound—blending post-punk, indie, and garage rock—and combines it with modern Auto-Tune vocals to create a mesmerizing track.

The band began recording the accompanying album in Costa Rica in 2022 with producer Rick Rubin, who had also produced their previous album.
