St. Mary's Organ Series 2026

Renowned organists will present a diverse program—ranging from masterpieces of organ literature to the art of improvisation and the premiere of a new CD.

Organ Concert with Jan Liebermann (Munich)

Jan Liebermann, a young concert organist who performs internationally and has won numerous awards, will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles-Marie Widor, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Louis Vierne, and Franz Liszt. With his virtuosic playing, he is considered one of the most promising organists of his generation.

October 21, 2026, 6:00 p.m.

Silent Film Meets Organ – Marius Beckmann (Mühlhausen)

A special concert experience awaits the audience with organist Marius Beckmann, who will provide live, improvised organ accompaniment to the Buster Keaton classic *Our Hospitality* (USA, 1923). The combination of cinematic art and spontaneous music promises an evening that is as impressive as it is entertaining.

November 22, 2026, 6:00 p.m.

Beatrice-Maria Weinberger (Munich) presents organ works by Jaromír Weinberger

To conclude this year’s organ series, Beatrice-Maria Weinberger will perform a concert to mark the release of the new CD “Jaromír Weinberger: Organ Works,” which was recorded at St. Marien. The program features works by Jaromír Weinberger, Max Reger, Joseph Haas, and Gerhard Weinberger.
