His characters: taxidermied insects celebrating Christmas with wit and imagination. "The Insect's Christmas" (1913) in particular enchants with its whimsical and heartwarming plot – a true classic among the very first silent films!

The Main Film: "The Snowman" (1982)

A masterpiece of silent images: Based on the children's book by Raymond Briggs, this award-winning animated film tells the wonderful story of a boy and his snowman, who comes to life – an adventure full of poetry that leads directly to Santa Claus. Although made in 1982, "The Snowman" is a modern silent film in spirit and one of the last of its kind.
