SKIPINNISH
SKIPINNISH were founded in 1999 by Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson and are deeply rooted in the Scottish musical tradition.
The band’s name reflects their homeland and their close connection to the land, the sea and Gaelic culture. With bagpipes, accordion, vocals, fiddle and a powerful rhythm section, SKIPINNISH blend traditional sounds with modern energy.
Their original songs, which often reflect the landscape and culture of the Highlands, have earned them worldwide acclaim – including the anthem “Walking on the Waves”, which was performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2022 in front of an audience of over 100 million.
