BERLINER CAPPELLA + FRIEDENAU CONCERT CHOIR
Inspired by the visionary texts of Walt Whitman, *A Sea Symphony* brings together a choir, soloists and a large orchestra on a sonically powerful journey across the sea: between the call of distant horizons, nocturnal contemplation and foaming spray, music of overwhelming power unfolds.
It reflects not only the sheer, untameable force of nature that is the sea, but also human courage, determination and perseverance. As one of the most significant choral symphonic works of the 20th century, Vaughan Williams’ composition invites us to cross boundaries and discover new musical shores.
