Two brilliant concerts of Viennese Classical music: With Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Fourth Horn Concerto—a work as melodious as it is virtuosic—Yun Zeng, principal horn of the Berlin Philharmonic since 2024, makes his debut as a soloist with his orchestra.
You will also experience Maxim Emelyanychev in the dual roles of conductor and pianist: at the fortepiano, he performs Joseph Haydn’s gallant Piano Concerto No. 11—and subsequently conducts Haydn’s festive, suspenseful Symphony No. 104.
The concert opens with Mendelssohn’s concert overture “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage.”
