Rotlicht are pure energy – every cubic centimetre is filled with bass, overtones and a surplus of lung capacity, without ever losing sight of technical finesse. In this way, they package what are essentially catchy folk and garage songs within the sound of a retro power trio.

Thematically, they navigate somewhere between Orwell, post-capitalist experiences of adolescence and love. Lyrics are shouted, virtuoso guitar solos are woven in, and pop music becomes a little dangerous again.
Isolisation, on the other hand, produces unobtrusive, warm sounds in the vein of indie-folk/pop/singer-songwriter, offering a balm for world-weariness.
