ROSEBUSH PRUNING, the new feature film by Karim Aïnouz (MOTEL DESTINO, FIREBRAND, THE LONGING OF THE GUSMÃO SISTERS), celebrates its world premiere in competition at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival.
The film is a collaboration between Karim Aïnouz and MUBI, The Match Factory, Kavac Film, The Apartment (A Fremantle Company), SUR FILM, Crybaby, and Gold Rush Pictures.

Plot:
In an opulent and secluded villa under the Catalan sun, American siblings Jack, Ed, Anna, and Robert revel in their inherited fortune. They ignore the demands of their blind father and seek love and validation in each other and in their latest designer clothes. When the eldest brother Jack, the linchpin of the family, announces that he is moving in with his girlfriend Martha, the close family ties are torn apart and Ed begins to uncover the truth about their mother's death. Gradually, intergenerational lies begin to unravel and the delicate fabric that still holds the family together threatens to disintegrate.ROSEBUSH PRUNING from award-winning director Karim Aïnouz is a biting contemporary satire about the absurdity of the traditional patriarchal family, starring Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Lukas Gage, Elena Anaya, Tracy Letts, Elle Fanning, and Pamela Anderson.
