Inspired by Walt Whitman’s elegy “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom’d,” the American composer has written a meditation on memory and universal connectedness.
Through sophisticated vocal and instrumental techniques, mezzo-soprano Vera-Lotte Boecker and pianist Sarah Tysman transport the audience into ethereal soundscapes.
