The piece "re-move" is influenced by the pandemic situation and its consequences. It is a report on the subject through Cie. Kinoun's eyes. A combative time led to think about human needs such as freedom and physical contact.
It led to thinking about imposed changes due to external events that cannot be controlled but only accepted with a spirit of adaptation: How do people face themselves and the system of society while dealing with restrictions and many new regulations?
"re-move" refers to the word "remove," which means to take off, to clear away, to let go of what is no longer needed, and then to be able to move again, to continue, to transform, as if new. The performance is divided into three parts: two duets and a solo.
"Exodus" is the first duet and refers to the possibility of being able to move freely again after a period of severe physical restriction and isolation.
"May I have your attention, please?" is the second duet, in which a man representing the system and a woman representing society grapple with privacy, manipulation and personal freedom.
"Before the Beginning" is the final section, a solo in which a man faces an important decision involving his private belongings: he must "remove," put away what is no longer necessary. What should he keep? Or let go?
