Healthy in the Garden

Tropical air and silence. Forest bathing beneath dense greenery and a glass roof. Participants are immersed in vegetation that is otherwise inaccessible in Berlin.

Behind the glass, palm trees, ferns and lianas thrive, accompanied by warm, humid air and the murmur of water.

In the historic greenhouses, the greenery reaches right up to the domes. A place that offers solace even in winter, when the trees outside are bare and dormant.

Forest bathing, known as ‘Shinrin Yoku’ in Japanese, refers to consciously spending time amongst trees, engaging all the senses. It is not a sport, nor is it about performance. You walk slowly, pause, smell, touch and listen. Studies show that even a short session like this reduces stress hormones and restores focus.

In this session, you’ll immerse yourself in tropical and subtropical plant worlds. Guided awareness exercises will lead you through the greenhouses, moving away from quick glances towards truly experiencing the surroundings. No prior knowledge is required. Just time and a willingness to embrace a different pace.
