Although they hadn’t released a single song at first, the British band President caused quite a stir simply with their announcement for the Download Festival. Their highly acclaimed festival performance instantly catapulted the band to become one of the most exciting newcomers on the rock and metal scene. Their breakthrough came with the debut single “In The Name of the Father,” which was named “Tune of the Week” by the BBC.

Their subsequent singles, “Fearless” and “Destroy Me,” also explore themes such as religion, spiritual crises, and existential fears—motifs that run throughout their debut album, *Blood Of Your Empire*, set for release on September 4.
In November, the band will perform the new songs as part of their tour of the same name, making a stop in Berlin along the way.
