Potsdam Pottery Market

Embark on a sensory journey from everyday culture to works of art. Potsdam’s Dutch Quarter provides the historic setting for a leisurely stroll along Mittel- and Benkertstraße among 100 lovingly designed market stalls, each offering unique items.

Pottery, ceramics, porcelain, and select arts and crafts.

The entire spectrum of the art of pottery is represented here—from practical household ceramics and beautiful garden ornaments to artistic sculptures created using a wide variety of traditional and innovative techniques.

Also featured are many other traditional crafts, such as master basket weavers, carpenters, hand weavers, goldsmiths, dressmakers, and milliners. New home accessories are sewn from old linen. Another highlight is the selection of handmade leather bags. There are original textile designs for all ages, and visual artists offer paintings, graphic art, and postcards they’ve designed themselves.

This market brings together traditional pottery, artistic ceramics, and innovative artisanal design—a spectrum of modern craftsmanship.

The diverse selection of local dining options invites you to linger and relax, accompanied by live music.
