This allowed the artists* to translate the colorful consumer world with motifs from advertising, newspapers or comic strips into colorful, often striking images. Around 100 works by artists including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Tom Wesselmann, Allen Jones, Richard Hamilton, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Indiana, Sigmar Polke, R. B. Kitaj, Maria Lassnig and Ulrike Ottinger bear witness to this. Selected loans from the poster and design sector complete the presentation.
