Funeral service for a Berlin club owner
Platonic Necrophilia is a theatrical performance that reimagines the themes of death and farewell. Through dance, acting, and live music, the play accompanies the fictional funeral service for the late club owner “The Sun of Mexico.” As he wished, his life is to be celebrated one last time.
The Reinickendorf substation serves as the stage for this extraordinary theatrical performance. Commissioned in 1925, it once supplied the surrounding area with electricity. It has been decommissioned for more than 30 years and now provides an impressive backdrop for theater, music, and more.
This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.
