A turbulent tour through the history of the telephone

In their new programme, actor Sebastian Zett and guitarist Daniel Lindenblatt embark on a journey through time: from the pioneering invention of the telephone in 1861, they stroll through the decades right up to the present day.

They not only browse through newspaper articles and film scenes or revive famous telephone calls, but also want to know whether the Pope really called the Kremlin and why the lines in Vienna are constantly dead.

The expected waiting time that evening is 90 minutes. The connection is maintained with: Music, plenty of sounds beyond the waiting loop and the right songs.

Well then: don't hang up!

Sebastian Zett completed his acting training in Berlin and has worked with Roman Polanski (‘The Pianist’), Josephine Larsen and Michael Schweighöfer, among others. In 2004, he made his directorial debut with Ibsen's ‘Borkman’. This was followed by the founding of the lux theatre in Berlin, where he worked as a director for ten years and brought over 40 productions to the stage. Guest performances have taken him to Russia, England, Spain and the Czech Republic, among other places. At the same time, he wrote theatre plays and also appeared as a chanson singer. Since 2016, he has been touring with his own programmes, which he performs together with fellow musicians, but also frequently appears in front of the camera (for ARD, among others).

Daniel Lindenblatt studied music in Berlin and has been a guitarist for fifteen years. He is a lecturer in the JAZZ State Youth Orchestra of Berlin and has worked with Nils Landgren, among others. Tours have taken him as far as Los Angeles. He is also in demand as a composer (e.g. Theatre der Altmark Stendal). Since 2015, he has performed as guitarist in the band STAUBKIND in all the country's major arenas. He is also regularly booked as a guest guitarist, for example by Take That at their reunion concert. He released his first EP in 2021. In autumn 2023, he toured Germany again with STAUBKIND. In autumn 2025, he will go on tour in Germany with Marianne Rosenberg.
