Berlin book premiere with Franka Frei in the BUCHBOX!

In her book, Franka Frei addresses a topic that is still a taboo for many: menstruation. Time to rethink.

What do a German housewife, the Danish crown princess and an Indonesian factory worker have in common? They menstruate. At least potentially, because they belong to that part of the world population that has a cycle. The legendary menstruation, period, strawberry week or Aunt Rosa's visit does not stop at origin, religion or class.

Menstruation is a fascinating body function, yet it is often considered taboo, with far-reaching consequences for the environment, the economy and gender equality.

So off to the bin with the taboo! Franka Frei shows how the menstrual taboo causes great damage. It is high time to do something about it.
