On 3 October 1226, 800 years ago, Francesco d’Assisi died. The young merchant’s son was a key figure in the transformation of Christian piety in the 13th century. The musician Gaby Bultmann and the art historian Lutz Stöppler will explore his historical role through a selection of paintings and musical pieces.
