The story of the young nobleman begins in the 16th century: charming and eloquent, he becomes the queen's lover, King Charles II's extraordinary envoy in Constantinople, and after being elevated to the highest nobility by the king during a lavish celebration, he gets out of bed the next morning as a woman.
