From quickly developing and precisely bringing individual designs to life in a wide variety of materials—to cutting simple patterns, engraving detailed graphics in wood, or building complex three-dimensional objects—anything is possible.

Are you curious and want to know what possibilities the laser cutter offers you? Then stop by and get to know the tool and the basics of laser cutting through your own small project: preparing designs for the laser cutter, cutting, engraving, and selecting materials.

The laser cutter and materials for experimentation are available for free on-site. Bringing your own laptop is helpful for developing your own cutting patterns. Dropping by on a whim? No worries—we have laptops available on-site.

What is an Open Lab Evening?

Every Thursday, things get creative at the Lab. You’ll learn methods like Design Thinking and Future Storytelling, try out 3D printers and laser cutters, and get a behind-the-scenes look at Lab projects. There’s something new every week.

Junge Tüftler*innen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to actively and sustainably shape the world using digital tools. Since 2016, the Junge Tüftler*innen team has grown into a diverse group of experts from the fields of education, design, computer science, music, and, of course, making and coding, among many others. This diversity enables them to develop innovative formats and content and put them into practice.
