Basic exhibition

The exhibition illustrates just how closely Spandau’s history is linked to the St. Nikolai parish.

St. Nikolai is not just an almost 800-year-old building on a sandbar at the confluence of the Spree and Havel rivers. People from the parish help shape life in the city.

Their stories are recorded in the church records and other documents in the St. Nikolai archives. The journey through the centuries spans from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Before or after visiting the exhibition, the cozy adjoining café invites you to linger. Under the shade of old trees on Reformation Square, in the bright winter garden, or in the half-timbered room with a fireplace.
