The Nature of Action

The Italian composer and sound artist presents a sound performance with piano and three glass horns made by him. His sound is based on images of weather imitations from his project, "The Weather Imitators, Il Coro delle Intemperie," which he has been following in two different countries for two years. On the other hand, Francesco Cavaliere creates his own graphical notations based on meteorological data, which he then sets to music by choral groups: singing and whispering, blowing and whistling mimic the endemic weather conditions of the respective country. With his project, the artist wants to create an anthropology of specific weather sounds. On August 13, Francesco Cavaliere transforms his archive of weather sounds through the piano playing to a new weather music, which will be heard through three specially made by the artist glass horns in different parts of the garden.
