NAMELESS takes this suspicion seriously to its ultimate conclusion and transposes it to where it is least noticeable: onto the street.
Through their headphones, the audience bears witness to an existence consisting entirely of quotations. The question of the evening is not a biographical one, but a philosophical one: if everything we call ‘I’ is borrowed — where, then, does the human being begin, and where does the image end?
NAMELESS is an experimental exploration of mimicry as the fundamental form of the subject. The starting point is a radical thesis: human beings do not discover who they are, but rather copy what they regard as a life — initially from the closed systems of meaning found in classical narrative cinema, and later from the fragile, open forms of auteur cinema. This shift in aesthetic reference is at the same time a shift in one’s relationship to the world: from certainty to ambiguity, from posturing to emptiness.
By transposing this movement into real urban space, the work also shifts the position of the audience. They are no longer gathered in front of a stage, but are themselves within the frame — part of a scene that no longer draws a clear boundary with reality. The dramaturgy works with the indistinguishability of performance and everyday life, making the act of watching itself the subject of inquiry.
