Mélissa Guex
Everyone knows that moment: when something exciting comes to an end, when euphoria turns to emptiness. Mélissa Guex’s work is a physical and emotional exploration of this state, which most people try to avoid. The piece, which unfolds in the midst of the audience, invites us to descend together into inner and outer abysses.
Together with drummer Clément Grin, Guex responds to the current state of despair: “DOWN (full album)” is an explosive encounter between a dancing body and a drum set that seeks to overcome our seemingly hopeless present.
