feat. Pablo Held
For Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana, writing music is, above all, an emotional process.
“For me, composing is about discovering how emotions connect, intertwine, and engage in dialogue with one another,” she says. “I want to reveal the hidden threads that emerge between moments of joy, doubt, longing, and tranquility. Together, they form a complex portrait of who we truly are.”
To mark her debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal, the Grammy-nominated artist will present a program of new commissioned works together with German pianist Pablo Held.
