What shades of colour can be made from plants? What sort of colours can you find in the paintings at the museum? At Haus Bastian, you’ll explore how colours are made and what they’re made of, and learn how to extract dyes from plants. You’ll make your own colours and try them out.

Workshop Aus Pflanzen gemacht! Farben herstellen
At the Alte Nationalgalerie, you’ll focus your attention on different shades and observe which ones appear most frequently. You’ll paint, create collages and take colour recipes home with you. Please bring small jars for your paints.
Participation fee including admission: €15 per family (2 people), €20 per family (3 or more people)
Limited number of participants. Online booking required. Remaining tickets are available at the ticket office in the James-Simon-Galerie. The family ticket entitles you to visit the museums on Museum Island on the same day. You can collect your admission tickets to the museums at the museum ticket offices upon presentation of your family workshop participation ticket.
