“Can love be an action?” What happens when we view love not just as a feeling, but as a “verb”—as something we choose—as something we consciously do?

Not in the sense of “free love,” or through rose-colored glasses, nor merely in a romantic sense, but as a way of being, a way of seeing. Perhaps even as a political act.

As Bell Hooks writes: “Love is an active force that brings us into communion with the world.” What would it mean to realize love in this way, consciously, every day? And can people bring this attitude into their artistic processes? How can they truly encounter one another, with open eyes, with mindfulness? How do we create spaces in which they not only seek consent, but beyond that, above all, experience genuine connection?

Easier said than done. Love is charged with associations, with desire, with memories of pain and loss, with vulnerability. It is entangled in the ecstasy of being in love and in the pain of longing.

In The Love Project No. 1, they propose a way of “walking,” of “being”—with love. They explore love as something mystical, something people long for. A force that draws them into the most absurd spirals and the most beautiful transformations. Love as a way of life. As something deeply human. While the present is often marked by fear and division, they wish to show love as a force—one that invites connection, collaboration, and understanding. A counter-movement to fear and division. A quiet revolution.

The Love Project No. 1 is an invitation to understand love as a choice: as a verb that wants to be lived.
