Desire without hope
Limbo, known in Catholic theology as purgatory, is meant to represent a state of longing on these evenings. G, alone in Limbo, seeks fulfillment of his desires and hopes to find it through the personification and interaction between them.
What happens on stage is left open to the audience. Therefore, the question arises: who is in purgatory—the characters, the actors, or even the audience?
The fifth-semester students of the Berlin Film Acting School reinterpreted Karim Karel's play during their third semester. The project explores the fears and longings of both the individual and the artists.
