Let’s Swing – the Roger Cicero Special

A musical tribute to the Berlin singer Roger Cicero.

Frank Brunet sings swing, easy listening and jazz standards in English and German. He also recounts the stories behind the songs.

Roger Cicero was a German jazz and pop musician from Berlin. He popularised swing with German lyrics, released several successful albums (including “Männersachen”) and represented Germany at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest with “Frauen regier’n die Welt”. Cicero died unexpectedly in 2016 at the age of 45.

This special is a tribute to the great Berlin jazz singer Roger Cicero, who passed away in 2016, and to his concert ‘Cicero singt Sinatra’. His music lives on!

Frank Brunet, known at the Altstadttheater for ‘Bonsoir la Musique’, ‘Swingin’ Christmas’ and ‘Liebe ist kein Solo’, will once again be accompanied on the piano by Andreas Peschel.
