Live speaking and eyewitness interviews at Checkpoint Charlie

To mark the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Berlin Wall Foundation, in cooperation with the Asisi Panorama at Checkpoint Charlie, is offering a live speaking event and discussions with contemporary witnesses and Yadegar Asisi on the occasion of the exhibition “Let us in! The opening of the Wall at Checkpoint Charlie”.

The guides are on site to answer questions, explore the historical traces of the border crossing and tell its story as a hotspot of the Cold War. Just talk to them!

At 3 p.m., Jochen Krüger will speak with contemporary witness Mathias Brauner, photographer behind the pictures from the exhibition “Let us in!”, about his pictures and his experiences from the night of November 9, 1989.

At 5 p.m., Dr. Susanne Muhle will speak with Yadegar Asisi, the founder of the Asisi Panorama, about his West Berlin perspective on the Wall and the fall of the Wall.
