Who would want to live without the comfort of trees? Poems, stories, legends, and fairy tales – The tree program for the Long Night of Museums.
7:00–8:30 p.m. | Musical reading
Tree death and climate change are on everyone's lips – but forests and the diversity of tree species have always preoccupied people in very different ways. At the Baumschule Kulturforum, you will be transported into mythology, to distant times when "sacred groves" existed and humans seemed closer to nature than they are today.
Texts by Hans Christian Andersen, Gottfried Keller, Erich Kästner, Günter Eich, Bertolt Brecht, and Jean Giono will be read. Flute and piano will provide a musical guide through the mysterious world of trees.
The following museums of the Berlin State Museums are participating in the Long Night:
Altes Museum, Neues Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie, James-Simon-Galerie, Bode-Museum, PETRI Berlin, Ethnological Museum and Museum of Asian Art in the Humboldt Forum, Gemäldegalerie, Kunstbibliothek, Museum of Decorative Arts, Baumschule Kulturforum, Neue Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Bahnhof, Museum of Photography, and the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection.
The complete program for the 2025 Long Night of Museums can be found on the Long Night of Museums website.
