A traditional hand broom is a useful tool. It makes only quiet noises, does not need electricity, and those who make it themselves feel proud and satisfied afterwards. Together with designer and basketmaker Evey Kwong you will learn how to make a traditional Spanish broom which can be taken home with you at the end of the workshop.
About Evey KwongEvey Kwong’s work focuses on issues relating to cultural and social approach explorations. Her practice has taken her from Spain to Borneo and Poland to Portugal where she learns the craft of basketry.
The workshop will be held in English with german translations. Tools and materials will be provided. Prior weaving skill is not needed. Please wear comfortable clothes.
