"... a flamenco-jazz demonstration with almost ecstatic guitar playing, accompanied by percussion. This is so modern, imaginative and radical that it makes many other efforts look like pleasing finger exercises; never does the trio stop at sixties and seventies fusions. It's daring and skillful; even within a piece, everything is constantly changing. It's free and wild and adventurous, yet absolutely enjoyable every moment." - Michael Lohr "Acoustic Guitar" 2014
This is how a reviewer talks about one of the pieces on the Kropinski Trio's first joint CD "Elf Elfen Blues". And he is not promising too much, because Uwe Kropinski is not without reason considered perhaps the most important and exciting innovator in the field of modern, improvised and cross-stylistic acoustic guitar music.
The American Guitar Player Magazine even dubbed him the "Jimi Hendrik of the acoustic guitar", Pat Metheny revelled in praise after attending one of Kropinski's solo concerts. A guitar lover should not miss this concert in any case.
